Hyperlite
Hyperlite is an experimental New York–based beer brand whose first release is a crisp, low-ABV pilsner called P01. I worked with Hyperlite from 2021–2022 to develop packaging and a visual identity that includes logos, custom typography, color, and more.

Visual Identity System
The identity is built around a clean, grid-based structure inspired by the utilitarian markings of racing sailboats. Two primary logos, a modular number system, abstract sailing illustrations, monospaced typography, and a soft nautical-inspired palette form the foundation of the identity.

Brand Typography
The identity uses three typefaces: Monotalic for logos and headlines, Museo Sans for body copy, and Proxima Nova Condensed for legal details. Monotalic’s monospaced, geometric letterforms are spaced evenly and set in uppercase, creating a structured, technical tone that reinforces the grid-based layout and pairs well with the custom numeral system.

H8 Custom Number Set
The H8 system was created exclusively for the brand, as an interpretation of the modular “digital 8” format often found on racing sails, where each number is built from a shared foundation. This utilitarian approach allows digits 0–9 to be formed using the same underlying pattern from the number 8.

Color Palette
Inspired by sea, sail, and sky, the color system uses a range of soft nautical tones that reinforce the beer’s light, easy-drinking character. The palette is balanced and versatile, applied across cans, posters, and digital assets without overpowering the identity.

Built to Expand
While developed for a single release, the Hyperlite system was designed with scalability in mind. Its structured layout, custom alphanumerics, and modular palette offer a flexible foundation for future beers while staying grounded in a unified visual language.
